- Focus your phases - Keeping a phase focused on a single theme or feature set keeps your testers focused. When they're concentrating on one area, they'll be more likely to provide quality feedback on the features they're testing.
- Be specific with phase names - Align your phase names to the feature sets they’re focused on. Generic names like “Week 1” or “Phase 1" don’t offer much information about what’s on the docket, which can slow feedback triage down the road.
Troubleshooting
- My phase expired too early, can I extend it? - No, expired phases can't be extended. If you need to gather more data on a particular feature, use the Move option by hovering over the feature in Test Planning and clicking Move. From there, you can put that feature into a different phase and continue testing.
